Vanessa Rodriguez focuses her practice on litigation and transactional matters representing landlords, condominiums, cooperatives, developers, and buyers and sellers of commercial and residential real estate. Ms. Rodriguez is responsible for litigation matters including landlord-tenant non-payment and holdover proceedings, collections and foreclosure cases, and contract disputes. Additionally, she handles transactional matters relating to commercial and residential real estate including contract negotiations, governing document amendments, and corporate governance.

 

Prior to joining Lasser Law Group, Ms. Rodriguez served as an associate attorney where she represented creditors at a foreclosure law firm. There, she handled foreclosure matters from the commencement of the litigation proceeding through the foreclosure sale transaction. Ms. Rodriguez’s responsibilities included attending court appearances for motions and conferences in Supreme Court and attending closings for foreclosure sales located in New York City and Nassau counties. Ms. Rodriguez also served as a staff attorney where she represented tenants in landlord-tenant non-payment and holdover proceedings in Kings County Housing Court.
