Alexander N. Blake, Esq.

Alexander N. Blake is Senior Counsel at Lasser Law Group. He has an extensive litigation and transactional background drawn from diverse professional experience as both a litigator and in-house counsel.  His practice areas include all aspects of commercial litigation as well as complex contractual matters, ranging from the negotiation and litigation of commercial lease agreements to client representation in landlord-tenant court.

 

Prior to joining  Lasser Law Group, Alexander served as in-house counsel and lead litigator for a New York City-based hospitality group, defending a variety of commercial and real estate claims that arose as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic in New York State Supreme Court. In addition to providing regulatory analysis and transactional services as in-house counsel, Alexander successfully defended multiple landlord-tenant actions against his clients in New York State Civil and Supreme Court. Alexander has also served as a senior associate for a law firm managing the transactional department in advising condominiums, residential cooperatives, and HOA’s on a broad range of legal issues, as well as a litigation associate for a law firm which defended primarily negligence and products liability actions.

 

Alexander received his Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, with a concentration in litigation, and served as a Staff Editor for the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution.  Alexander also represented disadvantaged and indigent clients through his work with the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic.

 

Prior to entering law school, Alexander earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
